GMU will continue to support APEC SEN, and hoped to further promote the intelligent, ecological and safe development of the international shipping industry through joint efforts and enhanced international cooperation, and wish this conference a complete success. APEC SEN is an international cooperation project approved by the transport  group of APEC (TPTWG). At present, APEC region contributes about 60% of international seafarers to the world and serves more than 80% of the global fleet. At present, the global seafarer shortage accounts for about 21% of the total demand, and this situation is still growing. Since 2010, APEC has made a decision on innovating the sustainable development of the shipping industry and the mode of shipping education and employment in the Asia Pacific region, aiming at the shipping industry that has gradually dried up the sources of seafarers members and is constantly innovating, thus establishing the APEC SEN.

The meeting focused on two documents, i.e. proposal on launching seafarers online education and training platform and proposal on promoting cross-border labor flow and seafarers recruitment service platform, which were submitted by our school. Representatives of participating economies highly appreciated our proposals in the two proposals, and agreed to incorporate the construction of the two platforms into APEC's next year's project plan. The meeting also agreed with China's proposal to establish contact centers in various economies to promote the work. This will also lay the foundation for us to build APEC SEN China contact center.

This meeting will further promote the sustainable development of the international shipping industry, especially the intelligent, ecological and safe high-quality development of the shipping industry, so as to ensure the sustainable development of the global economy and play a demonstration role in the innovative development of the global shipping industry; at the same time, it will further promote the realization of China's marine strategy, transportation strategy and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay area regulation Set goals and play a positive role. Our school representatives actively participated in the discussion of the agenda of the meeting, put forward a number of feasible suggestions and important measures, which is conducive to improving the international influence and reputation in APEC Asia Pacific region.
