From December 2th to 9th, 2018, headed by Vice President Ge Feiping, delegation from Guangzhou Maritime University (GMU) visited Australian Maritime College (AMC), University of Tasmania, Australia, University of Auckland (UoA), New Zealand, discussing Chinese-foreign cooperative education, joint cultivation and subject co-construction. The visit has an important role in promoting cooperation between two schools, further expanding the depth and breadth of cooperation on subjects, models and objects, pushing the GMU’s internalization.
The delegation has reached preliminary cooperation intentions with AMC and ELA, especially the in-depth exchanges with AMC, to jointly train undergraduate students with double degrees, graduate students with joint training, and academic research cooperation, especially for the future communication in Guangzhou. It has laid a good foundation for international exchange and cooperation in the construction of universities, disciplines and specialties, and academic research. During this visit, the delegation was fully prepared, exchanged in-depth and targeted contents, successfully completed the mission, effectively publicized the school, and improved its international popularity and influence.
