An Introduction to Alumni Association

    The General Alumni Association of Guangzhou Maritime University was established in December 2004, with its regional alumni associations in Guangzhou, Guangxi, Hainan, Jiangsu, Wuhan, Shantou, Dongguan, Zhanjiang, Huizhou, Meizhou, Xiamen, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Dalian, Foshan, Heyuan, Maoming; and its industrial associations in logistics, real estate, property management, architecture, finance and taxation, communication; and the alumni association of China Shipping (Group) Company(Guangzhou) . Up to now, it has about 80,000 members. In 2016, the alumni association held the annual meeting (the first alumni congress) , passed the alumni articles and elected the first Council of alumni association, which is convened annually thereafter.  

    The alumni association sets up a liaison office, responsible for its daily routines. At present, the alumni liaison office undertakes the following duties and services.
1. keep contact with all national-wide alumni associations and its members.
2. handle correspondences, visits, reception, and other related affairs for alumni.
3. provide information and sources for out-of-contact teachers and classmates.
4. collect and organize alumni’s information and materials.
5.provide helping services for alumni’s activities.
6.provide conveniences for donations.
7.keep maintenance and update of alumni website
