During June 27 to July 1,2016, led by vice president Prof. Bi Xiuying, delegation from Guangzhou Maritime University(GMU) including Prof. Tang Qiangrong, Dean from School of Navigation, Prof.Teng Xianbin, dean from School of Marine Engineering, Senior Chief Engineer Shen Weilin ,vice dean from Seafarers Training Center, Associate Prof. Zhang Jianping, dean from Library, and Associate Prof. Luo Zhenlin from School of Port and Shipping Management visited Malaysian Maritime Academy(ALAM), Singapore Maritime Academy of Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore Wavelink Maritime Institute, Nanyang Polytechnic International. This visit aimed to have a discussion on the experience of collaboration between maritime academies and shipping industries and on the quality requirements for personnel of shipping industries with them, and discuss matters of mutual interest in maritime education and training, and to explore the possibility of cooperation with them.
