During August 17 to 21,2015, led by president Prof. Wang Shuping, delegation from Guangzhou Maritime University(GMU) including Professor Zhu Yiquan, Dean of the Academic Affairs Office, Prof. Li Yongsheng, Dean from School of Port and Shipping Management, Prof. Xu Manping, Dean from School of Ship Building and Ocean Engineering, Associate Prof. Jiang Xiang from School of Computer Science and Information Engineering, and Pan Wenzhong, Dean of International Office Visited Tongmyong university in Republic of Korea. The two sides discussed details related to exchange and visits of teachers and researchers, exchange of students, education and teaching data sharing, academic exchange and scientific research, credit and degree mutual recognition, as well as the intention of cooperation in jointly cultivating students in Bachelor and Master Degree etc. After in-depth discussion, the two sides reached a consensus on the above-mentioned contents. Based on the proposal raised by the two universities, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding. Moreover, the delegation was also invited to visit Korea Maritime and Ocean University.
