On September 14,2012, Prof. Zhou Peilin, professor of Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering of Strathclyde University, Glasgow, Britian, visited GMC. Mr. Lin Min, Assistant President, gave the British guest a warm reception. After the reception, Mr. Lin Min showed the guest around the Marine Simulator and the laboratories of the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Department accompanied by Prof. Xu Manping, Head of the Department, and Prof. Chen Aiguo. And then，Prof. Xu Manping, the core staff of the Department and Prof. Zhou Peilin held a symposium on the potential cooperation on teacher training, continuing education for students and scientific researches etc.
In the afternoon，Prof. Zhou delivered a lecture entitled The IMO’s Standards and New Technology of Marine Engine Exhausting and Controlling in the lecture hall of the library. All the students and core staff of the Marine Engineering attended the lecture.
